Art & Design, 2013
Presented By: Esteban Suárez

Esteban Suarez, founder of BNKR Arquitectura in Mexico City, designs architecture in all sizes, ranging from a small dog house to a mega master plan for an entire city. In this talk, he explains his big idea to “re-densify” Mexico City, specifically its historic central plaza, with an inverted, 300-metre pyramid that would be built below ground, deep into the earth. The project was published and caused a sensation around the world, eliciting interesting inquiries and discussions about potential Earthscrapers to be built.
