Tzeporah Berman on Her Passion for Nature

2006, Environment
Presented By: Tzeporah Berman

Tzeporah Berman discusses her involvement in environmentalism, the state of Canada’s forests and the work of the logging industry. Canada is home to the second largest set of forest in the world, Tzeporah says, and yet great waves of clear cutting neglect our environmental responsibility and force wildlife out of their homes. Tzeporah discusses the economic consequences of changing environmental policy and the need to galvanize government and corporate responsibility and environmental protection. As we are increasingly distant from nature, the need for day to day advocacy and ecological thoughtfulness becomes ever more important. 80% of Canada’s forest is already gone, Tzeporah states. It is our responsibility to make sure the rest is cared for and remains.
