Richard Yanofsky

Richard co-founded WowWee in 1988 as an importer of children’s toys. Since then, WowWee has evolved into a world-class consumer products company with global reach.

In the mid-to-late 90s, WowWee began offering products with complex animation which, over time, formed the basis of its first fully-functional consumer robot – Robosapien. WowWee is now well-positioned to take part in the growing popularity of consumer robotics for both entertainment and task-based functions.

WowWee has since established a process that has enabled it to access cutting-edge technologies that enhance both the overall functionality of its product line and the general direction of the company itself. Clearly, the successes the company has enjoyed have resulted from this process. WowWee has a clear understanding of where the equity and value are located in both its process and its products. A large part of this is focused on passion and fun, for a start.
