David Levy



David Levy graduated from St. Andrews University, Scotland, in 1967. His first passion was chess – he twice won the Scottish Chess Championship and was awarded the International Master title by FIDE, the World Chess Federation. In 1977 he started working in applied Artificial Intelligence. In 1997 and 2009 he led the winning teams in the Loebner Prize competition for human-computer conversation. His fiftieth book, Love and Sex with Robots, was published in November 2007, shortly after he was awarded a PhD by the University of Maastricht for his thesis entitled Intimate Relationships with Artificial Partners. David is President of the International Computer Games Association. He is also CEO of the London based company Intelligent Toys Ltd. His hobbies include classical music and playing poker.
