Anne-Julie Caron

Anne-Julie Caron performs music by composers from all over the globe in order to show us what the marimba can do and how much sound can be realized from an instrument constructed of simple wooden bars.

Anne-Julie began her musical studies on the piano at the age of four and went on to receive a Masters degree in percussion at the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec. She also studied privately with renowned soloists Nancy Zeltsman and Bogdan Bacanu (Austria) and had the unique chance to take masterclasses with Keiko Abe.
