Amy Gordon is a masterful entertainer with the ability to deftly shift gears and surprise audiences with vaudeville stock, classical training, and an endless international tour circuit. Direct from her start turns anchoring the hit Off-Broadway show, La Soirée, and a critically acclaimed world tour, Amy G has begun a tour presenting her new daredevil solo cabaret, Entershamement, in New York, LA, and Seattle, touring next to Edinburgh, London, and Europe. A “comic powerhouse with a spectacular voice” (The Australian), Amy is equal parts singer, actress, and virtuosic clown – she gleefully defies shame and categorization. In Entershamement, her inimitable brand of physical and musical comedy makes light of dark thoughts on contemporary western culture.

BIOGRAPHY

Inspired by the idea that it’s shame to blame for much of her loneliness, Amy G decided to attack.  Contemporary western culture is riddled with judgment, competition, and perfectionism. But the resulting shame, once put under lights for all to see, is like so much cotton candy on the tongue; sweet and spun out for a dizzying moment, and then, it’s gone. That’s Entershamement!

Other credits include her own shows at Broadway’s New Victory (Writer/Director/Lead in AntiGravity’s Crash Test Dummies, and Daredevil Opera Company’s Cirkus Inferno), Sydney Opera House, The Kennedy Center, Adelaide International Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs, Taipei Arts Festival, Dance Theatre Workshop, and Symphony Space.  She works regularly across Europe, and has made numerous appearances on British, French, German and Austrian TV; as the subject of comedy specials, documentaries, and general intrigue.
