AISLIN is the name of Terry Mosher’s elder daughter and the nom de plume that he has used for over thirty-five years as the political cartoonist for The Gazette in Montreal.
It has been said that “he obviously enjoys inventing a carve-up as much as we have come to savor the results.” He has had his worked published in over 40 books, and his cartoons are syndicated in newspapers across Canada and around the world.
Mosher has had a long association with The Old Brewery Mission, Montreal’s largest shelter for the homeless. In recognition of his charitable work and his contribution to the world of political cartooning, Mosher was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in May 2003.
In 2007, A Life and Times documentary about Mosher’s career and life titled Dangerous When Provoked, won the Gemini for best biography documentary.
